Part-time position with half the working hours of a full-time position, employment is in the context of the DFG-Project "DeLiCom" (§ 2 Abs. 1 Satz 1 WissZeitVG).

This position will be offered to highly motivated student who intends to enhance her/his scientist career in the field of semiconductor quantum optics. She/he should have a high interest in basic experimental research and like working in an interdisciplinary environment. The research will be carried out at INA under the supervisor of Priv.-Doz. Dr. Mohamed Benyoucef.

 

Tasks:

  • Molecular beam epitaxy growth of high quality InP-based quantum dots for telecom wavelengths
  • Integration of QDs in diode and cavity structures
  • Optical and structural characterization of the grown and fabricated structures

Requirements:

  • Candidates are expected to hold a Master degree in physics, and/or nanoscience, and/or electrical engineering
  • Outstanding academic record with background in solid state physics and semiconductor-based nanostructures
  • Good written and spoken English
