Research Associate (m/f/d), EG 13 TV-H - in the Department of Experimental Physics III

Part-time with half of the regular working time of a full-time employee. The position is initially limited for 3 years with the possibility of extension for another 2 years (qualification position according to § 65 HHG in connection with § 2 Abs. 1 Satz 1 WissZeitVG). The possibility for doctoral studies is given.

Tasks:

• Scientific collaboration in research and teaching in the field of femtosecond spectroscopy and ultrafast laser control.
• Independent work on a research subfield in time-resolved structural analysis of laser excited solids.

Prerequisites:

• Graduated with excellent to good grades from a university scientific master's degree program in physics with an emphasis in experimental physics
• Experience in structure elucidation by diffraction

• Experience in computer-aided analysis of complex measured data

Advantageous are:

• Prior knowledge of vacuum technology and lasers.
• Thorough and independent working methods
• A high degree of organizational skills and the ability to work in a team
