Research Associate (m/f/d), EG 13 TV-H - in the Department of Macromolecular Chemistry and Molecular Materials

Part-time with half of the regular working time of a full-time employee. The position is initially limited for 32 months (qualification position according to § 65 HHG in connection with § 2 Abs. 1 Satz 1 WissZeitVG). The possibility to do a doctorate is given.

The program line "Establishment of Graduate Programs" serves the promotion of young scientists and aims at the further development of doctoral environments towards structured graduate programs with cooperative doctoral supervision. Within the project "How cellular clocks control biological functions" (Biological Clocks) the mentioned position is available.

Tasks:

• Modeling and investigation of synchronized cycles on different time and length scales in microalgae.
• Active participation in the interdisciplinary research training group "How cellular clocks control biological functions".
• Services in research and teaching in the field of biophysical chemistry / nanoscience.

Prerequisites:

• Completed scientific university studies (master's/diploma) in nanostructure science or a related subject.
• Good knowledge of microbiology or phycology and/or physical chemistry
• Ability to think analytically
• Independent and interdisciplinary working style
• Good command of English and ability to express oneself both verbally and in writing

Advantageous are:

• Programming skills
