Research assistant (m/f/d), EG 13 TV-H - in the field of art history/documenta

Part-time with 60% of the regular working hours of a full-time employee. The position is limited for 2 years (qualification position according to § 65 HHG in conjunction with § 2 para. 1 sentence 1 WissZeitVG). The possibility of a doctorate is given.

Tasks:

• Academic and organizational collaboration in research and teaching in the field of art studies
• Scientific and organizational coordination of the Transdisciplinary Research Center for Exhibition Studies TRACES in close coordination with the management and members
• Supporting the acquisition of third-party funding, financial acquisition and controlling
• Supporting research and mediation projects as well as the conception and implementation of conferences, workshops, publications and online presences
• Independent work on a research sub-area in art studies with the qualification goal of a doctorate as part of a research project.

Prerequisites:

• Academic university degree with very good to good grades in art or cultural studies or a similar subject area
• Interdisciplinary academic skills
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills
• Sound knowledge of art and cultural management as well as experience in project acquisition and management

An advantage:

• Several years of professional experience at an academic institution and/or cultural institution
• Thorough and independent working methods
• A high level of organizational skills and the ability to cooperate with stakeholders
• Initiative and willingness to work in a team
