The University of Kassel is a young university in the center of Germany. The university currently has 110 buildings with a total area of approximately 350,000 square meters distributed over eight university locations. The following position is available as soon as possible in the Central University Administration, Department of Construction, Technology and Real Estate for the upcoming challenging construction projects, especially the new building for the natural sciences.

 

Tasks:

  • Coordination, review, management and control of technical user requirements and independent approval of planning and implementation details from an economic, planning, functional and technical point of view.
  • Planning, tendering, costing, awarding and site management of building services for new buildings, modernization, renovation and conversion projects carried out under the auspices of the University of Kassel.

 

Requirements:

  • Completed university studies (Bachelor/FH or Diplom I) in the field of technical building equipment with a focus on the trades heating, air conditioning, ventilation and sanitation.
  • Several years of professional experience in the field of technical building equipment and related project management of university construction measures or research buildings.
  • In-depth knowledge of the technical requirements profile of scientific departments/subjects or research buildings (laboratories, etc.).
  • Several years of professional experience in building renovation and maintenance as well as project coordination, preferably of university buildings.
  • Relevant experience in quality, schedule and cost control of extensive construction projects, preferably in higher education.
  • Very good AVA and CAD skills, ideally in California and Autocad programs.
  • Knowledge of a university operation as well as experience in facility management.
