Teacher for special tasks (m/f/d), EG 13 TV-H - in the field of resource management and waste technology

The position will be filled on a part-time basis with half of the regular working hours of a full-time employee. The position is initially limited as a maternity leave replacement until 21.04.2020 (§ 14 para. 1 sentence 2 No. 3 TzBfG). Subsequently, there is the possibility of an extension as a parental leave replacement for the duration of the parental leave of the current position holder. 

Tasks:

• Teaching activities in the field of air pollution control and immission control within the framework of the bachelor's degree program in environmental engineering
• Independent teaching of courses in the environmental engineering program with a focus on air pollution control using existing teaching materials
• Collaboration in the organization and preparation of teaching and the associated seminars, carrying out exercises for the lectures; taking examinations (colloquia, written examinations) for these courses
• Conducting seminars and supervising student laboratory experiments and practical courses
• Collaboration in the processing of scientific projects in the field of environmental technology and waste engineering
• Initiating and contributing to research projects in the field of environmental engineering processes and waste technology

Requirements:

• Scientific university degree with good to very good results in the fields of environmental engineering, process engineering, environmental technology, chemical engineering or in a similar field
• Motivation to teach courses independently
• Knowledge of the structure of the environmental engineering program
• Willingness for further scientific qualification

Advantageous are:

• Teaching experience at university level
• Interest in didactic methods and innovative teaching
• Interest in further scientific qualification
