Research Assistant (m/f/d), EG 13 TV-H - in the Department of Theoretical Physics

Part-time with half the regular working hours of a full-time employee. The position is initially limited for 1 year with the possibility of extension for a further year (qualification position according to § 65 HHG in conjunction with § 2 para. 1 sentence 1 WissZeitVG).

Tasks:

Services in research and teaching in the field of theoretical physics:

• Investigations of the electronic, magnetic properties of low-dimensional systems and nanostructures, focusing on the effects of spin-orbit interactions under the influence of electric and magnetic fields. The research activity serves to prepare a coordinated research project.
• Participation in the supervision of exercise groups for the theory lectures of the bachelor and master programs in physics.

Prerequisites:

Completed scientific university degree (diploma/master's degree or equivalent) in physics. Experience in the electronic theory of magnetic nanostructures is desirable.
