The professorship represents Modern German Literary Studies and Didactics of Literature in research and teaching. Expertise in the area of media didactics is also strongly desired.

 

In addition to teaching (currently 8 semester hours per week) and research, the duties include participation in the Center for Teacher Education (ZLB), supervision of student teachers in school internships and practical semesters, acquisition of third-party funds, promotion of young scholars, participation in the university's committees and in academic self-administration.

 

The hiring requirements and the performance requirements according to §§ 61, 62 of the Hessian Higher Education Act apply. In particular, the aptitude for scientific work, as a rule proven by a habilitation or habilitation-equivalent achievements, as well as pedagogical aptitude, are required.
