Research Associate (m/f/d), EG 13 TV-H - in the Department of Experimental Physics III

Part-time with half of the regular working time of a full-time employee. The position is initially limited for a period of 36 months within the project "Extreme Light for the Analysis and Control of Molecular CHirality". There is the possibility of an extension for another 2 years (qualification position according to § 65 HHG in connection with § 2 Abs. 1 Satz 1 WissZeitVG). The possibility for doctoral studies is given.

Tasks:

• Scientific cooperation in the above mentioned project
• Independent work on femtosecond white light laser pulses for photo-ionization of chiral molecules using angle-resolved photoelectron spectroscopy.

Prerequisites:

• M. Sc. in Physics. Required degree must be received no later than the hire date.
• Experience in femtosecond white light generation, femtosecond pulse characterization, and "velocity map imaging" techniques.

Advantageous are:

• Knowledge of scientific publication and presentation at international conferences.
• Thorough and independent working style
• A high level of organizational skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Experience in the use of data analysis and laboratory automation software
