Executive Manager (m/f/d), EG 13TV-H - in the field of development policy and postcolonial studies

Part-time with half the regular working hours of a full-time employee. The position is initially limited until 31.12.2024 as part of the DAAD project "Global Partnership Network" (§ 2 para. 2 WissZeitVG). The possibility of a doctorate is given.

Tasks:

• Scientific collaboration in the above-mentioned project
• Coordination of a research network of 12 universities and 20 non-governmental organizations and support of the directorate

Requirements:

• University degree with at least a good grade in the social sciences or a subject area with a high proportion of social sciences. The required degree must be available by the date of recruitment at the latest.
• Experience in the coordination of international academic networks
• Experience in working with universities, students and researchers in Africa
• Experience in third-party funding acquisition and project management
• Experience in the implementation of externally funded projects with international partners
• Experience with national and international third-party funders
• Experience in personnel management and team organization
• Experience in intercultural communication
• Knowledge of global political economy and development policy
• Very good knowledge of English
• Microsoft Office and IT skills

Knowledge of French is an advantage:

• Knowledge of French
• Thorough and independent working methods
• A high degree of organizational skills
• Experience in dealing with various national and international administration systems
