Scientific employee (m/f/d), EG 13 TV-H - in the field of agricultural and food marketing

The position is initially limited for 3 years with the possibility of extension for another 3 years (qualification position according to § 65 HHG in connection with § 2 Abs. 1 Satz 2 WissZeitVG). The possibility for habilitation is given.

Tasks:

• Scientific collaboration in research and teaching in the field of agricultural and food marketing
• Independent work on a research subfield in agricultural and food marketing/consumer research on food waste and special quality requirements for food.

Prerequisites:

• With very good to good results completed scientific university studies in agricultural economics or social sciences.
• Doctoral degree in social research and food waste completed with excellent to good results. Required doctoral degree must be received no later than the date of hire.

Advantageous are:

• Knowledge and experience in the application of qualitative and quantitative methods of empirical social research and the corresponding software.
• Knowledge of mixed-methods research
• Knowledge of and experience in research on consumer attitudes and behavior regarding food waste and external product quality
• Experience in project acquisition and implementation
• Experience in teaching including supervision of student projects, especially in the field of agricultural and food marketing
• Very good written and spoken German and English language skills
• Ability to quickly analyze complex economic issues
• Ability to present facts to different target groups in written and oral form
