W 2 Qualification Professorship (m/f/d) with development commitment for "International Relations with focus on Latin America".

In accordance with § 64 para. 3 of the Hessian Higher Education Act, temporary for a period of six years. After a positive tenure evaluation, the permanent transfer of a W 3 professorship will take place.

This tenure-track professorship is funded by the Federal-Länder Program for the Promotion of Young Scientists.

The subject area is to be represented in teaching and research. Teaching responsibilities extend equally to all courses of study in the subject of politics (BA/MA and teaching degree) In research, cooperative links with CALAS regional centers and research experience in several Latin American regions are expected. Excellent Spanish language skills and a particular familiarity with social science issues in the CALAS research areas of "Social Inequalities" and "Ecological Transformation" are required. At least a very good PhD in political science with a focus on Latin America is required, as well as other academic achievements in the field of international relations. Experience in the acquisition of third-party funding and in the management of research units is desirable. In the promotion of young scholars, collaboration in the area of structured doctoral training is expected. Service duties also include participation in academic self-governance.

The hiring and performance requirements of §§ 61 and 64 (3) of the Hessian Higher Education Act apply.
