13th Meeting of the DGPs Specialist Groups Work Organizational and Business Psychology and Engineering Psychology

Under the motto "Proactive adaptation to a changing world of work", around 500 representatives from science and practice will come together at the University of Kassel from September 12 to 15, 2023 for the 13th conference of the DGPs specialist groups for work, organizational and business psychology and engineering psychology.

Current developments such as the digital transformation, the worsening shortage of skilled workers and global crises are increasingly bringing the question of how to deal with change into focus. Changes in the world of work are characterized by a high degree of uncertainty and complexity for organizations and individuals, while at the same time they offer opportunities for development and innovation. "How organizations and individuals adapt to change, but also how they themselves can initiate change and thus shape work in a forward-looking way, are central topics of our specialist group conference this year," explains specialist group spokesperson Cornelia Niessen, Professor of Industrial and Organizational Psychology at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg.

In symposia, research presentations and panel discussions over three days, topics such as migration and successful integration of migrants into the world of work, the use of artificial intelligence in personnel selection and teamwork, diversity, as well as ethical issues and quality characteristics in the now oversaturated coaching market will be addressed.
