FUSION 2025: Wind turbines in the Reinhardswald forest

FUSION SoSe 2025: Building Culture Kassel (II): INFRASTRUCTURES
A lecture series by the Faculty of Architecture - Urban Planning - Landscape Planning (ASL) at the University of Kassel
In the summer semester 2025, FUSION is dedicated to the major infrastructure projects in Kassel and northern Hesse: Highways, rail roads, wind turbines, mining, industrial estates and bunkers. Each of these projects addresses a social need, and almost every one of them is met with protest. How legitimate are the needs, how legitimate is the protest? What contribution do the projects make to transformation and social renewal? Are there alternatives?
Each evening of the lecture series allows different actors to have their say and invites a joint discussion.
Moderated and conceived by Philipp Oswalt
The lecture series takes place every Wednesday from 7 to 9 pm in the ASL-Neubau (Universitätsplatz 9, 34127 Kassel), room 106 (ground floor). Admission is free of charge.
July 9: WIND POWER TOWERS IN THE REINHARDSWALD | With Ralf Paschold, Mark Harthun, Sonja Beneke
The lecture will take place in person, will be recorded and will be available as a video on Panopto the next day.
All dates of the public lecture series can be found on the Faculty 06 website under FUSION.
