Fists fly in Kassel: German University Boxing Championships 2024

Over the two days, the athletes will compete against each other in various weight classes in the Aueparkhalle (Damaschkestraße 25, 34121 Kassel). Boxing will take place in two performance classes: Female boxers with up to four fights and male boxers with up to eight fights of experience compete in the B tournament. In the prestigious A tournament, the more experienced athletes fight for the title of German University Champion. Both tournaments will be held in the classic boxing format with a fight time of 3 x 3 minutes.

Action-packed boxing weekend in the Aueparkhalle

The boxing tournament begins on Saturday, November 2, at 10 a.m. with the exciting quarter-final fights. This is where the first boxers will enter the ring to secure a place in the semi-finals. The second round of the quarter-final fights begins at 2 pm, followed by the semi-finals at 6 pm.

On Sunday, November 3, the competition day also begins at 10 a.m. with the final of the B tournament. This will be followed by the final of the A tournament, in which the best boxers of the tournament will fight for the coveted titles. Sunday promises pure excitement and guarantees thrilling fights.

With around 150 expected participants from universities all over Germany, the German University Boxing Championships offer a unique mix of talented young boxers and experienced athletes. The tournament is not only a sporting challenge for the participants, but also an exciting experience for the spectators. With free admission, anyone interested has the opportunity to experience the exciting world of university boxing up close.
