Teacher as educational assistant (A 13/A 14 HBesG) - in the Institute of English/American Studies

Job profile:

Preparation, supervision and follow-up of practical school studies including the block internship for students of the subject "English" (all types of schools). Implementation of practice-oriented didactic courses in English and active participation in subject-related committees as well as active support of the subject area and readiness for professional development.

Requirements profile:

First and second state examination for the teaching profession either at primary, lower secondary, intermediate secondary, vocational schools or grammar schools with English as a subject and at least three years of school practice after the second state examination or at least five years of relevant professional experience.

The maximum permissible secondment period for full-time secondments is five years. In the case of partial secondments of five years in total, an extension of a maximum of three years is possible as a partial secondment in justified exceptional cases.

In accordance with the Ordinance on the Scope of Teaching Obligations of Academic and Artistic Staff at Universities in the State of Baden-Württemberg (Lehrverpflichtungsverordnung), the standard teaching obligation is 9 course hours for almost exclusive teaching activities and 7 course hours for predominant teaching activities, taking into account other official duties.
