Research assistant (EG 13 TV-H) - in the field of business administration

Part-time with half the regular working hours of a full-time employee. The position is initially limited until 31.12.2019 as part of the project "Systematic analysis of the value creation potential of domestic protein sources in organic monogastric feeding (potential analysis)" (§ 2 para. 2 WissZeitVG). The possibility of a doctorate is given. An increase in working hours will be sought.

Tasks:

Against the background of a future 100% organic feeding, the value-added potential of domestic protein sources in organic pig and poultry farming will be analyzed in cooperation with partners from the field of animal nutrition and consulting organizations. The activity includes the calculation of operational cost-benefit ratios in the implementation of feeding strategies in the agricultural practice of organic livestock farming. Using simulation and optimization models based on systems theory, operational and inter-farm options for action are to be evaluated.

Prerequisites:

A university degree in agricultural sciences or closely related disciplines and knowledge of agricultural production economics and practice, particularly in the field of feeding monogastric animals, are expected. Scientific and practical experience in the risk-analytical assessment of operational decision-making is also desirable. Furthermore, the ability for interdisciplinary collaboration in scientific cooperation projects, high commitment and interest in a systemic research approach are required. Good IT and English language skills as well as a driver's license are required.

Working environment:
