Texts are made from texts, images from images, and music from music - this has always been true, but plays an especially important role in the discourses of (post-)modernism. More illuminating than a systematic investigation of these references, however, is often a look at the reception-aesthetic consequences: Does contemporary (textual) art speculate on recipients who (know) all references? Or does ͵literature functionʹ even without this elitist taking into account? With the omission of the ͵Big Sinnʹ (Rainald Goetz), does it perhaps even install a new intellectual gatekeeper instance to enjoyment: the willingness to acknowledge that the applied ͵Linksʹ lead into a reference hell without a center?
