Part-time with half of the regular working time of a full-time employee. The position is initially limited to 3 years as part of the project "CRISPR/Cas - Public relations / Public outreach" (§ 2 Abs. 2 WissZeitVG).

 

Tasks:

  • Maintenance of an internet blog and the usual social media (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, etc.).
  • Contact with scientific working groups (approx. 20 groups, Germany-wide)
  • Organization of a roadshow (exhibition, lectures/discussions, lab courses for the public) at different locations
  • Contact with the press offices of the participating universities

  • Willingness to work confidently with a small university team
  • Willingness to travel on business

  • Basic knowledge in molecular biology (especially interest in gene editing with CRISPR/Cas)
