It is also required that the position holder is proven in the (further) development of one or more of the following methods for the analysis and simulation of social-ecological systems:
(1) spatio-temporal modeling of human-environment interactions and ecosystem processes,
(2) model-based analysis of decision-making processes, their preparations and impacts e.g. with agent-based or actor-oriented approaches,
(3) innovative methods of remote sensing and spatial data analysis.

Successful applicants will be third party funded and have experience in internationally networked research collaboration, including collaborative projects. A strong willingness to initiate interdisciplinary research projects is expected.

Depending on the competence profile of the applicant, the teaching duties will focus on the environment-related Bachelor's and Master's programs at the University of Kassel.
