Research assistant (EG 13 TV-H) - in the field of building conservation and timber construction

Part-time with 80.00 percent of the regular working hours of a full-time employee. The position is initially limited to 2 years within the framework of externally funded projects (§ 2 para. 1 sentence 1 WissZeitVG). An extension will be sought. The possibility of a doctorate is given.

Tasks:

• Working on a research sub-area on the following research topic
  • Timber structures under earthquake impact
  • Timber structures with novel connections made of shape memory alloys

Prerequisites:

• University degree in civil engineering (Dipl.-Ing./Master) completed with at least good results
• Knowledge of planning and carrying out experimental investigations on components
• Thorough and independent working methods
• in-depth knowledge of timber construction
• Special interest in scientific work
• willingness to work in a team
