Technical Assistant (m/f/d), EG 7 TV-H - in the Department of Plant Physiology / Evolutionary Biology

Part-time with half the regular hours of a full-time employee.

Duties:

• Scheduling, technical preparation, and hands-on supervision of science courses (courses/exercises on plant physiology).
• Cultivation of various useful plants
• Preparing solutions and setting up experimental setups according to instructions
• Conducting physiological and biochemical studies
• Participation in research and practical supervision of students (BSc and state exams) of biology
• Independent familiarization with basic biochemical and microbiological techniques as well as handling of spectrophotometer etc.
• Handling of autoclaves and application of sterile techniques
• Ordering of laboratory material
• Supervision of interlibrary loan, subito
• Application of SAP, EBP, KARLA, HEBIS

Requirements:

• Completed training as a chemical-technical assistant
• Experience in crop cultivation
• Experience with activities at a sterile workbench
