Hybrid "tour": projects from architecture, urban planning and landscape planning

At the end of the winter semester, the Department of Architecture, Urban Planning, Landscape Planning of the University of Kassel invites you to the traditional semester exhibition "Rundgang". From February 15 to 17, students and teachers will provide insights into their regional and national semester projects with digital formats and an analog exhibition on campus (2G+).

ASL students traditionally end their semester by exhibiting their project work. "Planning an exhibition format like the tour under pandemic conditions is a major challenge," reports Stefanie Hennecke, head of the Open Space Planning department and associate dean at the department. She is organizing the tour this semester with a team of research assistants and students and wants to make the semester exhibition possible, at least in parts, in presence. "After two years of online study, it was important for us to take a first step back into the analog world and exhibit the project results on site under high hygiene standards."

The analog exhibition in the Open Studios on the ASL campus is open to visitors Tues-Thurs from 3-6 p.m. (2G+). On mornings, digital Open Talks invite visitors to watch online and collaboratively discuss project presentations by faculty, students and project guests. From 5 p.m., digital Open Events will start with lectures, discussion rounds and the awarding of the Pfeiffer Foundation Prize for Architecture. This prize will be awarded to the best final theses from WiSe 2020/21 and SoSe 2021.

The department is particularly pleased to welcome Prof. Dr. Ute Clement (President of the University of Kassel) and Prof. Dr. Aylâ Neusel (1986-1990 Vice-President of the University of Kassel) to the tour on Wednesday evening. As part of the FUSION Retrospectives lecture series and on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the University of Kassel, they will discuss the topic of the reform university yesterday - today - tomorrow.

All information about the program and admission restrictions of the analog exhibition will be continuously updated on the event website:
