Go digital with the Deutschlandticket student upgrade

Anyone wishing to use the Deutschlandticket student upgrade in the winter semester 2023/2024 can now apply at abo.kvg.de or abo.nvv.de. All that is required is proof of eligibility, which is uploaded during the ordering process. The ticket can then be accessed digitally in the "NVV mobil" app.

The surcharge compared to the semester ticket, which students automatically receive and which is valid for the area of the Nordhessischer VerkehrsVerbund and neighboring associations, will increase from 23.48 euros to 26.24 euros per month. This is due to the AStA: With the additional amount of 2.76 euros, the AStA enables students without a Deutschlandticket to continue to make necessary journeys in neighboring transport associations.

"This is important for students on cooperative degree courses who need to get to Fulda, for example. The basis for this is the existing AStA contracts with these transport associations," explained AStA Chairman Sebastian Ehlers.

The President of the University of Kassel, Prof. Dr. Ute Clement, thanked all those involved. All students benefit from this, "especially those who are starting their studies in Kassel this winter semester. They can now plan to be mobile at low cost beyond the scope of the semester ticket."
