Paths to climate neutrality at Hessian universities

After the opening speech by the Chancellor, Dr. Oliver Fromm, and a welcome by the Green Office, Georg Mösbauer & Nadine Chrubasik, there was an introductory lecture by Hans-Günter Göddemeyer, from the Hessian Ministry of Finance (HMdF, CO2-neutral state administration), who gave an exciting overview of the current status of the state administration on climate neutrality. Afterwards, the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen, the Technical University of Darmstadt and the University of Kassel presented exemplary measures and concepts for reducing CO2 emissions and thus their path to climate neutrality. The event concluded with a discussion on how climate neutrality can be achieved despite energy consumption at universities.
