More than 560 students took part. For 33 of the 202 teams, it's on to the European Championship in Croatia this summer.

33 teams were able to prevail in their categories and achieve top rankings. They thus also qualified for participation in the European Championships from June 7-10, 2023, in Varzdin, Croatia.

A total of 202 teams arrived, competing in three different disciplines, each with up to five subcategories. For example, the participants' robots played soccer against each other, performed an interactive stage play together with the students, or were sent on "rescue missions" to free people from tricky situations.

The participating students, aged between 11 and 19, had previously qualified for the championship in eight regional tournaments. Most of them had prepared in robotics workshops at their schools and were supported by their teachers. The teams designed the robots themselves. Most of them were built from Fischertechnik or Lego and are controlled by an Arduino microcontroller.

The CDW Foundation and Micro-Epsilon were main sponsors of the event. Other sponsors: Kuka, VDI, Phoenix-Contact, Städtische Werke Kassel, Regionalmanagement Nordhessen, IT Netzwerk e.V., MoWi.net, Universitätsgesellschaft Kassel e.V., Harting, BBW Nordhessen and Octavia.
