Teacher for special tasks (up to EG 11 TV-H) - in the study workshop for plastic design, ceramics

Part-time with 75% of the regular working time of a full-time employee. The position is limited for 2 years according to § 14 Abs. 2  Teilzeit- und Befristungsgesetz.

Tasks:

• Basic teaching of the technological, craft, design and artistic dimensions in plastic design and ceramics in the study workshop Plastic Design, Ceramics.
• Teaching activities (18 hours in total)
• Supervision of student projects of all courses of study in connection with plastic design and ceramics in the research and experimental processes, advanced project events, exam papers and exhibition projects
• Raw material, material and equipment organization.

Prerequisites:

• Completion of a technical college degree or at least six semesters of art college study
• own artistic practice
• Teaching experience
• knowledge of ceramic materials, thermodynamic processes and local and international clay deposits
• Knowledge of the circuits and phases of kilns
• mastery of glaze chemistry, development of own glazes.
• national and international contacts
• handling of gypsum and new materials
• Ability to manage the study workshop in a professional and organizational way as well as in communication on one's own responsibility

The person to be hired must not have been previously employed by the employer "State of Hesse"; this does not apply to a vocational training relationship.

In the event of a proposal for employment by the Kunsthochschule, these expert opinions will be obtained by the Kunsthochschule.
