Research associate (EG 13 TV-H) - Measurement and Control Engineering Department

Part-time with 52.00 percent of the regular working hours of a full-time employee. The position is initially limited for 3 months (qualification position according to § 65 HHG in connection with § 2 Abs. 1 Satz 1 WissZeitVG). The possibility of doctoral studies is given.

Tasks:

The task is the research and development of methods for the selection of suitable signal sequences for the identification of empirical multivariate models from large data archives of esp. stationary operated process plants with little available a-priori knowledge. The methods will be tested and demonstrated on various test systems as well as on the model factory of the department. To this end, you will participate in the operation and execution of scientific work at the model factory. In addition, you will support the further development and implementation of practical courses of the department as well as scientific and organizational work.

You will also have the opportunity to gain early experience in leading a small working group by supervising bachelor and master theses as well as student assistants. We will support you in achieving your scientific and technical goals.

Requirements:

• completed scientific university studies in mechatronics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or a comparable course of studies with clearly above-average results
• good knowledge and interest in the field of system identification
• fluent written and spoken German and good English skills
• programming experience in Matlab as well as ABB Freelance

Advantageous are:

• Experience in the analysis of time series of process engineering systems
• Experience in the operation of process engineering model plants
