Research Associate (EG 13 TV-H) - in the International Centre for Higher Education Research (INCHER-Kassel)

Your tasks:

In the collaborative project REGIO you will develop theory-based hypotheses on the interaction of spatial and thematic proximity in the emergence and success of interactions between actors, especially in the emergence of research alliances and innovation clusters. Together with cooperation partners from informatics, you will develop new bibliometric measures and use them to test the previously developed hypotheses. Your responsibilities will include independent research work within the research project, the publication of the obtained results in recognized publication organs as well as your own scientific qualification with the goal of a doctorate in economics. Active participation in the qualification offers of the Department of Economics and INCHER-Kassel is expected.

Your requirements:

• university degree in economics with at least good grades
• strong methodological skills in the field of empirical economic research
• interest in empirical research in the field of economics of science and innovation
• experience in dealing with large data sets, basic knowledge of computer science is an advantage
• excellent written expression skills, also in English language
• Ability to think conceptually independently
