Research Assistant (EG 13 TV-H) - INCHER

The position is initially limited for 3 years with the possibility of extension for a further 3 years (qualification position in accordance with § 65 HHG in conjunction with § 2 para. 1 sentence 2 WissZeitVG; habilitation possibility).

Your tasks:

• Independent research in the research focus "Scientific Change" (preparation for habilitation)
• Coordination and further development of the research focus "Scientific Change"
• Independent preparation of research proposals and scientific monitoring of projects in the research focus "Scientific Change"
• Collaboration in the acquisition of third-party funded research projects
• Conducting courses in the field of university research in the scope of 2 SWS

Prerequisites:

• University degree in social sciences or economics with at least a good grade
• Doctorate in social sciences or economics completed with very good results
• very good knowledge of the methods of empirical social and scientific research (e.g. bibliometrics)
• very good knowledge in the field of higher education and science research
• Knowledge of academic processes and structures
• excellent oral and written communication skills, also in English
• the ability to think independently and conceptually

Advantageous are:

• Experience in university teaching and university self-administration
• experience in the acquisition and implementation of third-party funded projects
• Proven ability to publish in national and international peer-reviewed journals

Applicants must submit an elaborate exposé of a habilitation project and an outline of the further development of the research focus.
