Discussion: "Democratic Socialism in the 21st Century- Discontinued Model or New Perspective for Social Democracy?"

Discussion with Prof. Dr. Sonja Buckel ( Professor of Political Theory, Speaker of the Board of Trustees at the Institute for Solidary Modernity) and Kevin Kühnert (Federal Chairman of the Young Socialists).

Welfare state protection, a fair distribution of social wealth, effective control of economic and financial power, an active civil society and a democratization of all social and private spheres of life were and are often mentioned goals that could be summarized under the guiding perspective of democratic socialism.

But how can, will and should leading social democratic parties like the SPD reappropriate perspectives critical of capitalism in one of the most enduring historical crises of capitalism?

How can they stimulate and activate urgently needed political transformation processes in order to sharpen their profile of a more socially just society?
