Research assistant as coordinator of the PRONET meta-evaluation study PROMETEUS (EG 14 TV-H) or research assistant of the PRONET meta-evaluation study PROMETEUS (up to EG 13 TV-H) - in the field of empirical school and teaching research

The University of Kassel has successfully applied for a continuation of the BMBF's "Qualitätsoffensive Lehrerbildung" with the project "Professionalisierung durch Vernetzung (PRONET²)" and invites applications for the following position:

In the Faculty of Human Sciences, Institute of Education, Department of Empirical School and Teaching Research (Prof. Dr. Frank Lipowsky), the following position is to be filled as of 01.01.2019 (depending on the applicant's qualifications: either as EG 14 TV-H or as EG 13 TV-H):

Research assistant as coordinator of the PRONET meta-evaluation study PROMETEUS (EG 14 TV-H), fixed-term, full-time (currently 40 hours per week)

or

Research assistant for the PRONET meta-evaluation study PROMETEUS (up to EG 13 TV-H), fixed-term, full-time (currently 40 hours per week)

The position is initially limited until 31.12.2023 as part of the project "Metaevaluation of the project "Professionalization through networking (PRONET²)" (§ 2 para. 2 WissZeitVG). The opportunity for further academic qualification is given and supported.

Tasks (EG 14 TV-H):

• Scientific collaboration in the above-mentioned project
• Further development of the evaluation concept in cooperation with the heads of the fields of action and the overall project management
• Coordination of evaluation measures
• Supervision of research assistants Support of academic staff
• Reporting, preparation and production of publications
• Comprehensive data analyses
• Public relations (website design)
• Advice to scientific staff Staff of the sub-projects

Requirements (EG 14 TV-H):

• A university degree with very good grades, preferably a degree in teaching, educational science, psychology or sociology
• Project experience in empirical educational research and in larger evaluation projects
• Very good doctorate
• Very good knowledge of teacher research
• Very good knowledge of quantitative research methods in particular
• Confident handling of statistical software (e.g. SPSS, Mplus, R)
• very good analytical skills
• an independent, responsible way of working
• Ability to lead employees in a goal-oriented manner

The position can also initially be filled as an EG 13 TV-H position, especially if the doctorate has not yet been completed. 

Tasks (up to EG 13 TV-H):

• Scientific collaboration in the above-mentioned project
• Reporting, preparation and production of publications
• Data collection and data analysis
• Public relations work (website design)

Requirements (up to EG 13 TV-H):

• A university degree with very good results, preferably a teaching degree, a degree in educational science, psychology or sociology
• Project experience in empirical educational research and in larger evaluation projects
• Very good knowledge of teacher research
• Very good knowledge of quantitative research methods in particular
• Confident handling of statistical software (e.g. SPSS, Mplus, R)
• Very good analytical skills
• Doctorate well advanced

Persons whose doctorate is at an advanced stage can also apply for the EG 13 TV-H position. After completion of the doctorate, a classification according to EG 14 TV-H is possible.
