Research Associate (EG 13 TV-H) - in the Department of Chemical Hybrid Materials

The position is limited until 31.01.2020 within the framework of several third-party funded projects (qualification position according to § 65 HHG in conjunction with § 2 para. 1 sentence 2 WissZeitVG).

Your tasks:

• Scientific collaboration in several third-party funded projects on the synthesis of redox-active organometallic polymers
• Synthesis and characterization of organic and inorganic molecular compounds for the preparation of polyferrocenes
• Communication and collaboration in interdisciplinary project networks
• Preparation of project reports and research proposals
• Teaching duties to the extent of 4 SWS based on the Hessian teaching duties ordinance.

Your requirements:

• completed PhD in the field of preparative organometallic and inorganic molecular chemistry
• practical experience and solid knowledge in organic, elemental organic and inorganic synthesis chemistry in the field of strained ferrocenophanes using inert gas technique
• business fluent communication skills in English (at least IELTS level 7), both written and spoken
• Proficiency in software for literature research and chemical databases.

Advantageous are:

• experience in the field of previous postdoctoral activities
• thorough and independent working methods
• a high degree of organizational skills
• willingness to acquire German language skills, if not already available
