Research Assistant (up to EG 13 TV-H) - in the Center for Teacher Education - Department for Practical School Studies

Part-time with half of the regular working time of a full-time employee. The position is initially limited until 31.12.2019. The time limit is in accordance with § 2 para. 1 Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz (WissZeitVG).

Tasks:

At the University of Kassel, a qualification measure is being further developed for the mentors in the pilot project Praxissemester. The position holder is expected to participate in the development of the concept, to coordinate the process, to support the implementation of the concept and the qualification measure.

To accompany organizationally and to evaluate. In the context of the activities the possibility of the own scientific qualification is opened.

Requirements:

• Completed teacher training or completed academic university studies in psychology, educational science, social sciences.
• Interest in questions of current teacher education
• Experience in researching, compiling and categorizing information
• Knowledge in the area of teaching and instructional research desired
• Knowledge and experience in the area of school-based practical studies and their conceptual support  
• Experience in the evaluation of educational and training programs
• Experience in school-based work and in working with teachers desired
• Ability to work in a team and to cooperate on different levels of communication Very good knowledge of computer applications (MS Office and Internet, SPSS if applicable)
• Organizational talent
• experience in designing posters and publications
• independent work, personal commitment, communication and cooperation skills.
