Research assistant (EG 13 TV-H) - in the field of transportation planning and transportation systems

The position is initially limited to 3 years with the possibility of extension for a further 2 years (qualification position according to § 65 HHG in conjunction with § 2 para. 1 sentence 1 WissZeitVG). The possibility of a doctorate is given.

Tasks

• Academic collaboration in research and teaching in the field of transportation planning and transportation systems
• Independent work on a research sub-area in transport planning

Requirements:

• A university degree (Master's or Diploma) in the field of transportation, preferably in the fields of transportation engineering, transportation economics, civil engineering, environmental engineering and industrial engineering, with at least good grades
• Very good specialist knowledge in the fields of "integrated transport planning" and "local public transport"
• Very good German and good written and spoken English language skills

Of advantage are:

• Good specialist knowledge in the subject areas of "transportation economics" and "road design"
• Good knowledge of empirical research methods
• Thorough and independent way of working
• A high degree of organizational and teamwork skills
• Very good presentation and documentation skills
• Experience with common statistical programs such as R or SPSS
