Tasks:

  • Scientific cooperation in research and teaching in the field of machine elements and tribology
  • Independent processing of a research subfield, which is processed with partners from other universities and in cooperation with small and medium-sized enterprises, in the areas of:
    • tribological characterization of rough surfaces,
    • elasto-plastic behavior of discrete contacts,
    • thermoelastohydrodynamics of Hertzian contacts and
    • rotor dynamics.

 

Prerequisites:

  • With very good to good results completed scientific university studies in mechanical engineering (Master/Diploma).
  • Profound knowledge in programming with FORTRAN and Matlab
  • Knowledge in numerical simulation of discrete contacts
  • Very good verbal and written communication skills
  • Confident use of office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

 

Advantageous are:

  • Experience in the use of programming environments on Windows and Linux
  • Experience in the field of (E)MKS and EHD simulation
  • Thorough and independent working methods
  • A high degree of organizational skills
