Research Assistant (m/f/d) EG 13 TV-H) - in the field of Animal Nutrition and Animal Health

Part-time with half of the regular working time of a full-time employee. The position is initially for 3 years (qualification position according to § 65 HHG in connection with § 2 Abs. 1 Satz 1 WissZeitVG). The possibility of doctoral studies is given.

Tasks:

Scientific collaboration in research and teaching in the field of animal nutrition and animal health.

The position holder is expected to work on questions related to the relationship between feeding conditions of dairy cows on selected farms and energy balances at the animal individual level within the framework of a collaborative project. The subproject will focus on assessing the supply status of dairy cows with the goal of investigating the potential and limitations of farm management to avoid imbalances.

Prerequisites:

With very good to good results completed scientific university studies in agricultural science or veterinary medicine.

Good computer and English skills as well as a driver's license (car) are required for the job.

Furthermore, the ability for interdisciplinary cooperation, high commitment and interest in a systemic research approach are required.
