Research Assistant (m/f/d), EG 13 TV-H, PostDoc - in the field of Theoretical Physics III

Part-time with 75.00 percent of the regular weekly working hours of a full-time employee. The position is initially limited until 31.12.2020 as part of the DFG project "SFB 1319 Extreme Light for driving and sensing molecular chirality (ELCH)" (§ 2 para. 1 WissZeitVG). An increase of the position from state funds to 100% is sought.

Your tasks:

• Scientific collaboration in a third-party funded project on the time-dependent description of photoionization dynamics in chiral molecules with explicit consideration of electronic correlation effects
• Development of methods for the time-dependent description of molecular electron structure
• Communication and collaboration in an interdisciplinary project network

Your requirements:

• Completed scientific university degree and doctorate in theoretical physics, theoretical chemistry or theoretical nanostructure science
• Previous work in the field of time-dependent description of molecular wave packets
• Experience in the computer-aided description of physical and/or chemical processes

Advantageous are:

• Previous knowledge of atomic and molecular physics and quantum chemistry
• Relevant programming experience, preferably with Fortran and Python
• Thorough and independent way of working
• A high degree of organizational skills and team spirit
