Artistic staff member (m/f/d) EG 13 TV-H - in the department "Fine Arts

With half of the regular working time of a full-time employee. The position is initially limited for 3 years with the possibility of extension for 2 years (qualification position according to § 65 HHG in connection with § 2 Abs. 1 Satz 1 WissZeitVG; artistic further qualification).

A dedicated personality is sought for the subject area of Visual Arts/Art in Contemporary Context of the Visual Arts program at the Kunsthochschule Kassel, who will supervise the subject area in cooperation with the subject area holder.

The services include at the same time the possibility of further artistic qualification.

Your responsibilities:

• Services in the area of the department of Fine Arts, Art in Contemporary Context.
• Co-organization of teaching activities and supervision of students in the realization of artistic works.
• Supporting the professor in administrative tasks and committee work. 

Your requirements:

• Completed artistic or scientific university studies.
• An own artistic and/or art theoretical practice
• A fundamental interest in jointly accompanying a class structure as a whole in terms of content, discourse and, not least, organization. This includes the co-organization of guest invitations, excursions, exhibitions, joint planning of research projects as well as the organization of equipment and materials.
• A theoretical interest, as a discursive thread with art-theoretical questions should accompany the everyday life of the class.
• Knowledge of common office and image processing software
• Likewise, a broad interest in current art events, art theoretical and art scientific issues is expected
• Good knowledge of English
