Research Associate (m/f/d), EG 13 TV-H - in the Center for Environmental Systems Research (CESR)

Part-time with 75.00 percent of the regular working hours of a full-time employee. The position is initially limited for 36 months as part of the project "Connection between environmentally relevant behavior and the development of values and norms (ZumWert)" within the framework of the funding program "Profiling the Future" of the University of Kassel (§ 2 para. 1 WissZeitVG). The possibility of a doctorate is given.

The project investigates the question of how environmentally friendly norms are internalized and thus acquire a long-term effect. To this end, psychological and economic approaches will be empirically tested and further developed. With the help of agent-based modeling, the temporal dynamics of the development of environmentally sound norms will be made visible.

The project is embedded in an interdisciplinary project network of environmental psychology, environmental and behavioral economics and empirical economic research. The environmental psychology part is handled at the Center for Environmental Systems Research (www.cesr.de) at the University of Kassel.

Tasks:

Scientific cooperation in the above mentioned project. Preparation, implementation and evaluation of empirical surveys; collaboration in theory development; collaboration in the (further) development of an agent-based model; collaboration in the presentation of results in lectures and publications; collaboration in teaching.

Prerequisites:

Above-average academic university degree in psychology or sustainable management, very good methodological skills, interest in environmental psychology issues, interest in agent-based modeling, good English skills. Previous experience in agent-based modeling is desirable.
