Tasks:

As a research associate in the Plastics Technology Group at the Institute of Materials Engineering at the University of Kassel, you will work on application- and basic research-oriented questions of plastics technology in a young, innovative working environment with above-average laboratory equipment as part of the BMWi third-party funded joint project "Windows with integrated solar cells based on the Luminescent Solar Concentrator Technology for Energy Supply (CoSoWin)".
  • The aim of this comprehensive multidisciplinary joint project is to develop and demonstrate a "smart", efficient, aesthetically pleasing and multifunctional building-integrated photovoltaic system based on Luminescent Solar Concentrator (LSC) technology.
  • The aims of the Institute of Materials Engineering/Plastics Technology in this context are to incorporate chromophoric nanoparticles into plastic films by means of compounding and extrusion processes, which can be used for window elements, and to coordinate the design and manufacture of a functional demonstrator for an LSC window with the help of expert partners. As consortium leader of the joint project with nine partners, the Institute is also responsible for the targeted project coordination.

 

Requirements:
