Research assistant (m/f/d), EG 13 TV-H - in the field of technical dynamics

The position is initially limited until 30.11.22 as part of the DFG project "Intelligently networked arrangements of inductive elements for the efficient calming of structural vibrations (Smart Inductive Arrays to Efficiently Calm Structural Vibrations)" (§ 2 para. 2 WissZeitVG). The possibility of a doctorate is given.

Tasks:

• Scientific collaboration in the above-mentioned project
• Active participation in the DFG priority SPP 1897 "Calm-Smooth-Smart"

Prerequisites:

• Academic degree in mechanical engineering or a related subject, completed with very good results
• scientific specialization in applied mechanics
• in-depth knowledge of the coupled dynamics of electromechanical systems, vibration theory, non-linear vibrations

Advantageous are:

• Knowledge of computational mechanics, numerics, numerics of nonlinear partial differential equations, multibody dynamics
• Experience in the analytical and numerical treatment of vibrations of continuous systems with electromagnetic interaction
• Experience in working with Matlab
