Scientific employee (m/f/d), EG 13 TV-H - in the field of numerical mechanics

The position is limited for 29 months within the scope of the third-party funded project "Modeling and FEM simulation of service life prediction for operational loads" (§ 2 Abs. 2 WissZeitVG). The possibility for doctoral studies is given.

Tasks:

• Coordination and independent processing of the research project
• FEM modeling of technological samples and components
• Programming of an extended material model into a FEM program
• Publication of research results in scientific journals
• Presentation and discussion of research results at technical committees and conferences
• Participation in conferences

Prerequisites:

• Academic university degree with at least good grades in mechanical engineering,
  mechatronics, civil engineering, physics, or technomathematics. The required degree must be received no later than the date of hire.

Advantageous are:

• Prior knowledge of finite element method (FEM) and material theory.
• Thorough and independent approach to work
• High level of organizational skills
• Very good presentation and written reporting skills
• Experience in using an FEM program
