Lecture Series against Right-Wing Extremism 2021/22:
Right-Wing Extremist Politics in Transition between Parties and Social Movements. International Perspectives

In memory of the racist murder of Halit Yozgat, which was committed by the right-wing extremist NSU in 2006 not far from the Holländischer Platz campus, the lecture series against right-wing extremism has been held annually with changing topics at the University of Kassel since 2012. After the lecture in the last winter semester dealt mainly with the topics of conspiracy ideologies and anti-Semitism in times of the Corona pandemic under the title "recht extrem? Wissen, Meinen, Glauben in der Krise", in the winter semester 2021/22 we would like to focus on the continuing strengthening of right-wing structures in the field of political parties and social movements. In addition to the situation in Germany, we will also focus on developments in other countries.

On January 31, 2022, Dr. Giuliana Sorce will give a lecture on "Tweeting Against the Right: Journo-Activism on Social Media" in English.

The lectures will take place online. In order to receive the link to the event, guest auditors should send an email by 1 p.m. of the respective date to:
