Jürgen Pfitzmann deceased

Dr. Jürgen Pfitzmann was a senior academic councillor at the department. He succumbed on Good Friday to a long, now 7-year, unequal battle against cancer.
 
Dr. Pfitzmann helped shape the success of the Department of Industrial and Organizational Psychology through his achievements and tireless work for the department. He supervised master's theses and wrote expert reports until the end. The field of Industrial and Organizational Psychology was decisively shaped by his decades of exemplary and selfless dedication. Whether in research or in teaching, he shared his passion and expertise for the department, for the university and the Kassel region, and for the students, even during the time of his serious illness. His sensitivity for the team, his demand for fairness for and towards all, as well as his warm-hearted nature carried us along, always spurred us on, and left deep traces of what matters in life.
         
Our deepest sympathy goes to Jürgen's family, especially his mother, his wife and his two sons.
