Training for teachers: Resurrection. Current research overview and impulses for religious education

"The resurrection": fraud? Myth? Fact? World-historical humbug? Or a historical event that actually happened?

The aim of this training course is to concretize what Christians mean when they testify to the resurrection of Jesus Christ in order to train their language skills in relation to this complex subject and to be able to deal competently with typical questions in religious education lessons (What happens after death? How can we still believe in something like a resurrection in the current year? Did Jesus rise from the dead like a zombie?)

To this end, participants will be presented with an overview of research on the topic of resurrection, including relevant concepts for school education as well as current trends and insights on the topic.

Participants will then be given the opportunity to discuss conceivable ways of dealing with the topic in the classroom, including the opportunities and challenges of addressing the topic in the classroom. Specific teaching ideas will then be presented.
