3D printing has recently found its way into people's living rooms, but metals can also be printed alongside plastics. During the coffee talk, we will talk about the potential of additive manufacturing and take a look at why the processes play an important role in racing in particular.

An event accompanying the exhibition "Herkules Racing Team | E-Racing Cars from the University of Kassel"

The exhibition presents one of the most exciting projects at the University of Kassel: the students of the Herkules Racing Team are building real racing cars for real competitions. They compete against teams from other universities in the Formula Student, an international design competition. At UNI:Lokal, you will learn that there is much more to it than fast laps and quick pit stops.

Highlights of the exhibition are three racing cars from previous seasons. Both car connoisseurs and laymen will find lots of interesting information. Test your driving skills in a vehicle simulator and achieve fast lap times! A Carrera track also invites you to join in and experience the speed.

In the coffee talks , scientists from the University of Kassel explain their research - briefly and compactly in 15 minutes. For everyone who wants to start the evening with an interesting input on current topics - plus a sweet snack and a hot drink free of charge.
