... individual, excellent researchers and their teams. Applications are possible in the following funding lines:
Who is eligible to apply?
- Talented young scientists who have already produced excellent, supervised work and are now ready to work independently and have the potential for a leadership position in research.
- Researchers who have completed their PhD 2 to 7 years ago
- Cut-off dates (prior to January 2025): Successful defence of PhD between 1 January 2018 and 31 December 2022 (inclusive)
What funding amount is possible and over what period?
- Up to EUR 1.5 million for up to 5 years

Who is eligible to apply?
- Researchers who wish to consolidate their independence by building a research team and continue their successful career in Europe or researchers who have recently established an independent, excellent research team and wish to strengthen it.
- Researchers who have completed their PhD 7 to 12 years ago
- Cut-off dates (prior to January 2025): Successful defence of PhD between 1 January 2013 and 31 December 2017 (inclusive)
What funding amount is possible and over what period?
- Up to EUR 2 million for up to 5 years

Who is eligible to apply?
- Groups of 2-4 researchers as principal investigators who bring their different skills and resources to the collaboration to take on ambitious research problems

- Budget: up to EUR 10 million for up to 6 years

Who is eligible to apply?
- Researchers who have already received ERC funding for their pioneering research project and now want to explore the commercial or societal potential of their work
What funding amount is possible and over what period?
- Funding is provided as a fixed lump sum of EUR 150,000 for 12 months
