City cycling starts on September 9 in Kassel - Join the University of Kassel team!

Get on your bike for the University of Kassel!

From September 9 to 29, the whole of Kassel will be pedaling again. The aim is to cycle as many everyday journeys as possible in a climate-friendly way for three weeks.

The CITY CYCLING campaign not only aims to make an active contribution to climate protection, but also to draw attention to the needs of cyclists.

Anyone who lives, works, belongs to a club or attends a (high) school in the city of Kassel can take part in the city cycling competition.

The Green Office of the University of Kassel cordially invites you to cycle along!

Whether you cycle to university, to the shops or on a bike tour with family or friends - every kilometer counts. Use the competition as an introduction to everyday cycling. There are many good reasons to switch to cycling: Cycling saves money, keeps you fit, is fun and gets you to your destination quickly and in a climate-friendly way.

Register at www.stadtradeln.de or get the free CITY CYCLING app and join the University of Kassel team. You can also set up sub-teams there and compete against other groups internally. To make sure you don't lose a single kilometer, you can use the app to record the distances covered via GPS. At the end of the campaign, the city of Kassel will receive an evaluation of all the routes ridden, giving it a good basis for improving the routes and cycle paths - and of course this also applies to your route to the university.
