Prof. Dr. Andreas Braun is a guest lecturer at the University of Twente and speaks on the topic of "Epistemology in remote sensing"

At the invitation of the International Institute for Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation, Prof. Andreas Braun gave a lecture as part of the Geotechnology Ethics Webinar - GeoTechE. In his presentation entitled "More Accurate, Less Meaningful? A Critical Reflection on Interpreting Remote Sensing Land Use Analyses", he discusses the role of critical epistemology for remote sensing and how a different scientific practice can be derived from it. The lecture is an example of a broader discourse at the Kassel Institute for Sustainability, which explores questions of critical epistemology in the field of sustainability research and discusses what can be learned from it for the practice of knowledge production in the field of sustainability issues.
